Want to try paddling but don’t want to invest in equipment just yet?

Love paddling but hate hauling your bulky equipment around? 

Come to a JCWA Pop-Up Paddling event!

Pop-Up Paddling Events are a great way to enjoy the sport of paddling without breaking the bank! JCWA has invested in a fleet of canoes, single and tandem kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards for the public to rent. Acme Dam (aka Chestnut Ridge Park, just off of Rt. 31 in the town of Acme) provides and its surrounding area gives participants good opportunities to see wildlife like turtles, herons, bullfrogs, and ducks, or just enjoy a relaxing float in the sunshine!

Admission:

$10/person for General Public

$5/person for all JCWA members. To explore our membership options, click here.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended to ensure equipment is available.

Rentals include boat of choice (based on availability), life vest, and paddle for 1 hr. Additional rental time available for purchase based on demand.

2022 Dates:

  • Friday, June 3rd, 3:00-7:00pm
  • Wednesday, June 15th, 1:00-5:00pm
  • Saturday, July 9th, 8:00am-12:00pm
  • Wednesday, July 20th, 1:00-5:00pm
  • Saturday, August 6th, 8:00am-12:00pm
  • Wednesday, August 17th, 1:00-5:00pm
