Board of Directors
Our Board helps make the decisions that guide JCWA in our mission now and into the future!

"Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I recently relocated to Scottdale to raise my 2 kids with my husband on our historic homestead. I enjoy JCWA because I am passionate about conservation, educational outreach, and community improvement."

Secretary: Doug Coffman

Bethany Eutsey
"As a member of the local community, I feel it is very important to protect the environment that we live in. My background lends well to serving on the JCWA board of directors: as I have been a science teacher for 17 years and serve in the United States Air Force reserves as a medical entomologist. My goal is to make informed decisions that help keep our watershed clean for future generations"

Dana Pacolay
"I am reliable, determined, and goal driven. I have been teaching for over 15 years. Originally a biology teacher, I have always been passionate about protecting the environment. I am a mother of 4 and a National Board-Certified Special Education Teacher."

Michael Barrick
"It is important to me to see the protection of our natural resources and smart growth development in our community. I support the JCWA to educate our community so everyone can understand the importance of the delicate balance of growth and resource protection."

Brian Grindle
"I am a lifelong Mount Pleasant resident along with my wife Debbie and son Dylan. For the last 25 years I have been a teacher in the Yough School District and worked in the electrical, oil, and gas fields. I enjoy all things agriculture and raising horses, chicken, and honeybees."

Mike Smetak

Katrina Patchan
"I enjoy my community as the Children's Librarian at the Scottdale Public Library. The emphasis that we must convey to this younger generations about environmental protection is one of upmost importance. They are our future and we must teach them preservation!"

Tom Goldinger
"My wife and I first came across JCWA when we were walking on Acme Dam Rd., which is where we live, and stumbled upon a free pop-up paddling event for its members, so we decided to join! As we learned more about the organization, we realized that it aligns perfectly with our passions. We make it a point to clean up the trash on our road every week, and the Tire Round-up event immediately caught my attention, given my my 50+ years of experience in the tire industry. It's and area that needs a lot of improvement. I'm looking forward to contributing in any way I can especially regarding tire disposal events."

Alysia Lehman
"Born and raised in West Overton, PA, I am now raising and teaching my 2 boys to have the same love of the outdoors and conservation in our local community. As a JCWA board member, and leader for the local Cub Scout Pack, my goal is to educate outdoor ethics to the children and community of Scottdale."
“The best way to learn about nature is to make yourself part of it.” -John Muir

Pamela Curtin
"I share JCWA's commitment to environmental education and conservation. I am passionate about connecting people with nature, encouraging a sense of wonder, and empowering people to make a difference. I am the Director of Visitor Engagement at West Overton Village and Museum in Scottdale, located in the Jacobs Creek Watershed. I also volunteer with the Pennsylvania Master Naturalist program, often contributing to citizen science projects and education programs. Just like small streams affect the larger watershed, JCWA engages our local community and conserves nature in our own backyard to have a far-reaching impact."
We invite you to join us for our public board meetings, held bimonthly on the second Monday from 6:30-7:30pm. Come and hear about our stream improvement projects and recreational events and share your own ideas with us. Email denise@jacobscreekwatershed.org to be added to the list of attendees.
