On September 8th, seventy four golfers joined JCWA at Donegal Highlands Golf course for the 16th Annual golf outing. It was our largest field of golfers IN THE EVENT HISTORY! We had nineteen teams fighting for the championship. The event included 18 holes with golf cart. At the turn, golfers enjoyed a Hot dog, chips, and beverage. After a long hard fight on the course, golfers enjoyed slow roasted baby back ribs; grilled chicken; mountain redskin potatoes with kielbasa, onions, peppers; seasonal vegetables; fresh coleslaw; and garlic bread. The draft beer was included, cause even if you hit into the rough, nothing is too hard with a good beer in your hand. The day started with a bit of rain, but JCWA worked hard to bring out the sun and it was a fantastic day for golf.
The event also included fourteen special raffle baskets. Baskets included overnights in Ramada Ligonier, golf clubs, dinner and a show, books, alcohol and sports memorabilia. Thank you to our basket sponsors (listed below). The event was also successful because of the wonderful Tee Sponsors that decorated our course with support. We had sixteen tee sponsors that donated at three different levels to show the support of our
programs and JCWA work in the region (see list one this page). JCWA sincerely thanks the Tee Sponsors for the generosity and loyalty to this outing that has made it successful. JCWA also would like to thank the volunteers that worked tirelessly to make this event so fun! The JCWA Recreation Committee, including Stacey Magda, Barry Whoric, Nicole Seese and Annie Quinn planned and organized this event carefully to make sure it was exactly what the golfers are looking for: good golf, good food and good fun. Thank you to Heather Folwer from Fayette County Conservation District and Patty Miller, the former Executive Director and current JCWA Board Of Directors member for making the day flow at registration.
WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE, that through the contributions of the Sponsors, Golfers, Volunteers and Donors, JCWA RAISED more then $3,500! The most money raised in the long history of the Riffle Run!
